RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi police in two different raids have arrested eight suspected dacoits and recovered weapons from their possession.
According to details, Rawat police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid in Sardar Market area in its jurisdiction and arrested three lurking dacoits namely Amir, Adil and Waqar who were allegedly hatching a plan to commit a dacoity.
Police recovered three pistols 30 bore with 17 rounds and other items from their possession.
Meanwhile, Civil Line police on an information raided in Tulsa Chowk area and netted five suspected dacoits identified as Saif ur Rehman, Babar, Bahadur, Nisar and Sher Ali and recovered five pistols and 22 rounds.
Further investigations are under way and police is expecting some sensational revelation from them.
