BRUSSELS: Belgian stocks opened narrowly up Friday, with the Bel-20 index of leading shares up 0.38 percent as trading opened the morning after the exchange banned short-selling.
Among the country's banking groups, Dexia's shares were up 1.11 percent around 9:40 am (0740 GMT) with KBC trading down 1.47 percent, after regulators suspended the practice of allowing investors to bet that share prices will fall.
