imageISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information,Broad- casting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Saturday strongly condemned the killing of Human Rights activist Sabeen Mahmud.

In a statement, the minister expressed heartfelt grief and sorrow over her murder and said that such people were asset of the nation.

He said her struggle was establishment of a society based on justice. The minister said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb in FATA and an operation clean up in Karachi have been launched to eliminate evil forces depriving the nation of the assets like Sabeen.

He said that the day was not far off when Pakistan would become a peaceful and safe country and Sabeen like people striving for a better Pakistan would work in a free and peaceful environment.
