LAHORE: Pakistan Army officers and people from various walks of life visited the grave of Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, Sitara-e-Jurrat and paid tributes to him on Defence Day of Pakistan, on Sunday.
Pakistan Army organized a befitting ceremony at the tomb of this brave officer in Miani Sahib Graveyard which was attended by Major General Fida Hussain Malik and a large number of citizens.
A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army led by Major General Fida Hussain Malik presented a salute to Major Shabbir Sharif who embraced martyrdom in 1971 war.
Meanwhile, Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed's son Taimoor Shabbir and other family members also visited the tomb and offered Fateha.
Later, talking to the media, Taimoor Shabbir paid glowing tributes to Pakistan Army for rendering great sacrifices for the sake of country's defence.
He urged the nation to continue support to Pak Army for the defence of homeland.
