LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the security measures adopted for protection of life and property of people and maintenance of law and order in the province on Youm-e-Ashur.
The Chief Minister lauded the performance of Provincial Cabinet Committee on Law and Order, elected representatives, police, law-enforcement agencies and administration and said all these departments and institutions that worked as a team and performed their responsibilities towards maintenance of law and order on Youm-e-Ashur in an efficient manner deserve appreciation.
He said that besides police and law-enforcement agencies, the other concerned institutions also discharged their duties with hard work and commitment and it was due to effective measures taken by Punjab government that the law and order situation remained under control.
Shahbaz Sharif said that administration also played an active and vibrant role for the implementation of the measures under security plan for Youm-e-Ashur while members of Provincial Committee on Law and Order also made exemplary efforts for keeping law and order situation under control and effective monitoring of security arrangements.
Shahbaz Sharif also lauded the performance of Ulema and Mashaikh towards promotion of an atmosphere of tolerance and restraint in the society.
He said that the same spirit of hard work and commitment towards performance of duties will have to be displayed in future as well for foiling the nefarious designs of anti-Pakistan elements.
