JOHANNESBURG: South Africa's Crop Estimates Committee (CEC) said on Wednesday that the forecast for the 2015 wheat crop output is estimated at 1.51 million tonnes, down from 1.54 million tonnes in the previous forecast.
"It was the persisting drought conditions that impacted negatively on the yield of wheat, especially in the Free State province," CEC's Marda Scheepers said.
