ISLAMABAD: Ministry of States and Frontier Regions has announced that return of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) of 50 villages has been completed in October this year.
A total of 11009 families have returned including 6625 registered and 4384 unregistered families.
The Ministry on Sunday said return of South Waziristan Agency (Phase-3) of around 30,000 National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) verified families has been planned tentatively from January 2016 to June, 2016 while the return of 21,000 remaining families will be completed by July to November next year.
The areas of the Agencies which are now accessible are being assessed/surveyed.
Rehabilitation and Reconstruction has been notified as a dedicated Unit to Coordinate and facilitate the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (RR) process with all stakeholders including Federal Government, Armed Forces and Development Partners etc.
Moreover, Rs. 2.313 billion were released in 2014-15 as Non-ADP funds by FATA Secretariat while Rs.3 billion has been sanctioned by Federal government against which Rs. 660 million has been released so far
