KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Friday having 33228.95 points with a positive change of 412.64 and volume of 73,477,000 shares.
High and Low were 33256.85and 32816.31 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 124,069,810 shares with 317 total traded companies out of which 224 were up 73 were down and 20 were unchanged.
CEMENT was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 37,229,100 shares. It was followed by INV. BANKS / INV. COS. / SECURITIES COS. with a total traded volume of 15,383,000 shares.
The three top traded companies were Fauji Cement with a volume of 16,678,500 and price per share of 38.18 ( 1.36), Ist.Dawood Bank with a volume 11,737,000 of price per share of 1.59 (0.26), D.G.K.Cement with a volume 5,557,200 of price per share of 154.67 ( 7.08).
The top three advancers were Pak Tobacco with price per share 1168.99 ( 54.80), Exide (PAK) with price per share of 938.75 ( 31.61) and Island Textile share of 645.00 (30.00).
The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 2210.00 (-110.00), Bata (Pak) with price per share of 3165.25 (-104.45) and Indus Dyeing of 888.00 ( - 44.33).
