ISLAMABAD: Former Coach Mohsin Hasan Khan while terming PSL as Dubai Super League said the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should be shifted to Dubai as it is doing anything for the promotion of the game in the country.
Criticizing on the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Mohsin said there was no need to hold the PSL in Dubai. "PSL is Pakistan's league and should have happened here," he said while talking to a private news channel.
He said PCB's aim should be to improve the domestic cricket at the moment rather than organizing leagues. Speaking about the tainted players in Pakistan Cricket, Mohsin said if he would have been running the cricket affairs in the country then none of the tainted players would have been allowed to enter the PCB's premises even.
"What example we can set for our young players when we already have tainted players in the coaching staff," he said advising the players to play for Pakistan rather than playing from Pakistan.
Former leg spinner Abdul Qadir demanded for removal of non-cricketers from the board saying no else can run the PCB better then a cricketer. "If anyone is appointed to run the cricket affairs or given any responsibility in the board then his background should be checked first," he said.
Talking about the tainted players, Qadir pointed that in 2010 Pakistan lost a golden chance to win the Hong Kong Super Sixes tournament against Australia as Imran Nazir gave 48 runs in the final over which made the Kangaroos win.
"Up till now PCB hasn't even able to probe that matter then what else can they do. We know that if a player hits six 6s in one over then 36 runs can be made but 48 in one over this is something suspicious," he said.
Former Test Cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz said PSL would have been gone too much better it had happened in Pakistan.
He said if our team loses in a series our players and management should accept the responsibility rather than playing the blame game. He said our selectors should be removed as they are the ones who are destroying cricket.
