LAHORE: Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Maulana Fazalur Rehman met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif here Wednesday and discussed matters of mutual interest, political affairs and overall situation of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister (CM) said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, decisions had been taken on important national issues by taking political parties into confidence.
He said that government was striving for achievement of the mission of progress and prosperity of the masses.
He further stated that there was a need for tolerance, and brotherhood in the society and the efforts should be made for progress and development.
He said that problems being faced by the country would have to be resolved through collective wisdom and efforts.
The CM said the menace of terrorism and extremism would be eliminated with nation's unity.
Federal Minister Akram Khan Durrani was also present on the occasion.
