LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Sunday criticised in harsh words Choudhry Muhammad Sarwar who is contesting for PTI Punjab slot.
Addressing a workers convention of PTI Nazriati Group here on Sunday, he said that Choudhry Sarwar and Jahangir Tareen were trying to hijack the party by offering party tickets to workers for getting their support in intra-party elections adding that tickets would be awarded to workers on merit.
"I will quit the politics if i would have been requested for tickets from Choudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Jahangir Tareen," he asserted.
Qureshi said "Choudhry Sarwar and Jahangir Tareen can not affect Imran Khan's decisions." How these political children can teach us politics? he questioned.
"I do not believe in fractionalisation (grouping) in the party rather believe in ideology," he said. He said if any rich man considers to make decisions in the party with its own will, it would be his misapprehensiveness.
He said, PTI was a democratic party and all decisions were being made with consultation of all leaders.
On the occasion, Hamid Khan said people who consider to make decisions with money, lives in fools' paradise adding that workers would defeat them with unity.
"No body can hijack the party with power of money nor the workers will let them to create any group in the party like "PTI-Q", he added.
PTI Nazriati Group candidate for Punjab presidency Shafqat Mahmood, Shireen Mazari, Saifullah Khan Nyazi, Hamid Khan, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Waleed Iqbal, Munazza Hassan, Rai Azizullah, Andleeb Abbas and workers in large number were present at the convention.
