KARACHI: The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Senators Dr Karim Khawaja and Aajiz Dhamrah and Provincial Minister Gianchand Esrani have congratulated the former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for safe recovery of his son Ali Hyder Gilani.
In a statement issued by the PPP's media cell here Tuesday, the legislators also expressed gratitude to the Afghanistan's government for ensuring the safe recovery of Gillani.
They expressed resolve that the PPP would continue to fight against terrorism and extremism. They said the party had offered sacrifice of its chairperson and former Prime Minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto but they still remained steadfast against terrorism.
The lawmakers said recovery of Gillani and former Governor Punjab, Salman Taseer's son Shahbaz Taseer from the captivity of terrorists were the victory of their party's stance against terrorism.
The legislators asked terrorists to surrender before the Pakistan Army warning them that they would not be spared under ongoing Operation Zarb-i-Azb.
