imageQUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that the whole resources of Gwadar belonged to the poor people of Gwadar and nobody could snatch them.

"Government would protect the rights of people of Gwadar and strictly abide by its commitments.", he added.

Chief Minister expressed these views while addressing to a public gathering during the inauguration of Gwadar Development Authority Hospital on Tuesday.

Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattah, MPA Mir Hammal Kalmati, District Chairman Babu Gulab, Chairman Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Dostain Jamaldini and other concerned officials were present on the occasion. Chief Minister, addressing the people said that your government has fulfilled its commitment by making functional the hospital which was announced by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif during his visit to Gwadar.

"The hospital was dysfunctional for the last eight years which has been made functional with record period of eight days.", he said, adding "we were serving the province and its people beyond our political and personal interests."

Nawab Zehri assured the people that the college of Gwadar would soon be made functional and classes would be started in it, adding that the great work is serving people and humanity.

"I am feeling happy to see the hospital functional and the prayers of masses are my real assets of life.", he added.

He said that the other issues of Gwadar would be addressed jointly by civil and military leadership and asked the masses to cooperate with army.

Addressing the occasion, Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz said that the functionality of GDA hospital is a vital progress in the development of Gwadar.

It was desire of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif that the hospital should become functional as soon as possible, and the hospital would be expended in coming days, he added.

He said that following the efforts of Chief Minister Balochistan Chief Secretary and Pak Army the hospital has started treatment facility to the masses, and positive decisions have been taken to provide latest treatment facilities to the people.

Commander Southern Command said that there is no big reward than prayers and the way people of Gwadar admired the functionality of Gwadar hospital is a matter of proud for us and the credit goes to provincial and military leadership.

"Pak Army will continue to play its role in the development of Gwadar and Balochistan.", he added.

He said that the hospital is gift for the people of Gwadar on behalf of China and I am thankful to Chinese friends.

During the inauguration, Chief Minister Balochistan, Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Amir Riaz and other authorities concerned visited different sections of hospital and also inquired about the health of patients.

Chief Minister was also given briefing about the hospital which was dysfunctional for the last eight years and now has been made functional with the contribution of provincial government and Pak-Army that would provide treatment facility to more than 450 patients on daily basis.

Doctors of provincial health department and Army would provide health treatment to the masses.

The hospital which currently comprises of 50 beds would be expended to 150 beds in next phase and 350 to third phase.
