The Lahore High Court (LHC) has observed that police could not be allowed to raid any house without warrant, and directed District Police Officer (DPO) Kasur to get registered criminal case against the respondent police officials who raided the petitioner house.
The court passed these orders in a petition filed by one Asad Ali of Kasur who approached the august court against the respondent police officials of CIA Model Town.
The petitioner contended that the respondent police officials raided his house and also humiliated and harassed the inmates.
He said that neither he nor his any family member was involved in any criminal case.
He said that he approached the respondent police officials for registration of criminal case against the respondents but they refused to take any action against them.
He, therefore, approached the august court with prayer to declare action of the respondent police officials as illegal and without lawful authority, and also direct the respondent DPO Kasur to get registered FIR against the responsible police officials.
The court, after hearing the petitioner's counsel at length, disposed of the petition with necessary directions.
