Punjab Government has earmarked an amount of Rs 3 billion for providing new jobs in the police to overcome the shortage of watch & wards.
Talking to newsman here on Wednesday, Deputy Inspector General Police Faisalabad, Abid Saeed said that FA/FSc passed would be recruited as constable in police force to build-up its social structure through best training.
Commenting over the large numbers of complaints, he assured that District Governments are taking every possible steps to improve the law & order situation in the range and it was decided to set up six patrolling posts in Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh to control the highway robberies during current fiscal.
"We are implementing a comprehensive plan to control crimes while measures are being taken to discourage robberies on highways," he added.
He said that after 150 years, the Police Act has been updated through new reforms and District Nazim would be the Chief of Police in each district under the new rules.
