Mohammad Khan Junejo, Muslim League (Functional) MNA from Sanghar, has been unseated by the Sindh High Court for his fake graduation degree.
He has been a legislator (lawmaker) for more than a year with false credentials. Did his conscience prick him even once all this time to sit as an honourable member in the most august house in the country, draw the salary and enjoy the perks and privileges of an MNA that he was not entitled to?
Did he at all realise that he was cheating?
How was he given the party ticket in the first place or was the party also accomplice to his crime?
What can the nation expect out of such people who nominate them, second them and allocate them the party tickets to contest elections? Could the laws made by such cheats be honest and sincere?
Simply unseating him is not enough, every single penny paid to him and spent upon his upkeep by the exchequer must be recovered from him.
Then, he must be proceeded against for cheating the nation and committing fraud. An exemplary punishment should be meted out to him to serve as a deterrent to others.
But -- who will do it? Is there any one in authority capable of doing it?
