The government should review and redefine its foreign policy measures in accordance with the changing scenario so as to redress follies of the past.
PML (N) central leader and MNA Mohammad Pervaiz Malik said this while addressing a protest meeting of PML (N) workers here on Saturday.
Malik further said that Pakistan is facing threats as a result of our shift from the considered national policies and unnecessary flexibility in the deal with the US as well as India.
According to him, Pakistan has been isolated in the comity of nations despite being a frontline state in the war against terrorism.
The US itself was after Pakistan's nuclear programme, which is the only defence against India. Thus, it posed threats to the solidarity of the country.
In such situation, we should revive and re-establish friendly ties with traditional allies and friends like China and Iran, and Afghanistan, he added. He was of the view that the Israel-US-India nexus would ultimately be diverted against China. "In a fit of being superpower on the globe, the US targeted its opponents one by one and it might pose threats to China and the entire Muslim world," he added.
Malik suggested that the Muslim world should come closer to each other. "We should not make experiments of shift from the principled stance on national policies, as it would create difficulties, and we should not also give preference to the thinking of one person instead of the collective wisdom of the Parliament as well as people," he added.
