The Directorate of Workers Education, Karachi organised a training programme on "Gender Sensitisation" at Training Institute of Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (Sessi) here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Training, Fatema Hassan, said that basic objectives of the course are to understand how gender rules are constructed and how society frames a basis for gender disparity. She said a clear understanding of these issues helps for future planning.
Talking about gender issues, she pointed out that this subject mainly emphasises equal burden of work and access to resources.
