An accountability court on Thursday put off to February 26, the proceedings in a reference against former directors of Khyber Tractors after recording the statement of a bank official Sarshar Ahmed Khan.
The accused, Asif Sharif, and others were facing the charges of collecting money from the public in the name of tractor scheme, but failed to deliver tractors to them.
REMAND GRANTED: Meanwhile, another accountability court granted physical remand of the accused Awais Khan, Saleem Khan, Aurangzeb and Agha Mansoor for a fortnight in a reference against them in Emirates Bank scam.
All the four accused were arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials and were produced before the court.
The special prosecutor contended before the court that the NAB officials want to interrogate the accused, therefore prayer for physical remand of the accused has been made.
The court inclining with the prosecutor allowed physical remand of the accused for a fortnight.
In the meantime, an accountability court adjourned to March 5, the proceedings in a reference against former chief executive of Milli Co-operative Society Wali Muhammad for final arguments.
The accused has been facing the charges of misappropriation of funds of the Society.
He has also been facing the charges of preparing forged documents for purchasing land and other properties in the name of the Society.
