Major General Safdar named Peshawar Corps Commander

Major General Safdar Hussain has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and appointed Corps Commander Peshawar.
Major General Safdar Hussain was commissioned in Baloch Regiment in 1971. He is a graduate of National Defence College, Islamabad and Command and Staff College Quetta.
He is also a graduate of Command and General Staff, Forth Leavenworth, USA.
Major General Hussain has a vast experience of command, staff and instructional appointments.
He has commanded an Infantry Division and a Brigade in northern areas. He is a recipient of Chief of Army Staff Commendation card for his outstanding operational performance during service in the Northern Areas.
