'Decision on Section 73 of Sales Tax Act in next budget'

Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz has said that the policy decision regarding Section 73 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 will be announced in the next budget for 2004-05.
To a question, he informed newsmen here on Friday that the Central Board of Revenue (CBR) would announce the decision regarding Section 73 in the next budget.
The CBR used to suspend enforcement of Section 73 of the Sales Tax Act monthly so that redrafted section could be consulted with the business community taking into account their proposals on the issue.
