Honorary Consul General Switzerland Kaleemullah Khan called on Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui on Thursday and discussed proposal regarding setting up an institute for hotel and management sciences in Karachi University for degree programme.
It was agreed that the introduction of hotel management as a subject and setting up of a full-fledged institute would open new avenues for studies and career planning for a large number of male and female students.
Khan said that similar institutes were already established in Switzerland, Australia, England and many other countries and catering to the needs of local as well as foreign students.
The KU vice chancellor said that the university would study the proposal.
