Azad Jammu & Kashmir Prime minister, Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan on Thursday announced to induct five new ministers into the cabinet by removing four, who tendered their resignations to ruling Muslim Conference's supreme head.
"I have left with no option but to remove angry colleagues though their resignations have so far not been sent to me and to induct new ministers into cabinet to keep the pace of development process intact," the Prime Minister told newsmen after an informal meeting of cabinet which was attended by 8 ministers.
He said that new ministers would be inducted on Friday because state budget for next fiscal year has to be prepared for the development projects.
The scheduled formal cabinet meeting was postponed after top officials of federal government intervened and asked for delay till Friday.
The Prime Minister claimed that there was no threat to his government and crisis that erupted following the resigning of four ministers including secretary general ruling party and minister finance Shah Ghulam Qadir will be resolved amicably.
To a question Sikandar Hayat said there was no need to call the parliamentary party meeting of Muslim conference and added that if it was held he would certainly attend it.
He stated that if anyone presumes that I have lost the confidence of the majority of the house, than there should be open show of hands against me in the house as per the constitutions.
The Prime Minister said there is no constitutional provision of secret ballot for the election of the leader of house and this practice would pave the ways for horse-trading. To another question prime minister added that he will not seek the dictation from any quarter for the induction of new ministers into the cabinet.
The Premier also appreciated the role of President Sardar Mohammad Anwer Khan in resolving the present crisis.
