The visiting Commander of United States Naval Forces Central Command and Commander US Fifth Fleet, Vice Admiral David Nichols Jr, on Tuesday called on Pakistan's Naval Chief Admiral Shahid Karimullah in Islamabad, and discussed matters of mutual interest.
The Naval chief welcomed the visiting dignitary to the Naval Headquarters and wished him a pleasant stay.
In a separate meeting with Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Muhammad Haroon and other senior officers at Naval Headquarters, Vice Admiral David Nichols discussed existing ties in the defence and maritime fields besides, exploring new avenues for further co-operation in the larger interest of both countries in general and navies in particular.
