The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) invited Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali to attend its annual conference, scheduled to take place on April 24 at the Chinese city of Boao in Hainan province.
"We have invited him to address the opening session of the conference as a key-speaker," said a senior official of the Forum.
He said that Prime Ministers Jamali' presence in the conference would be highly encouraging to strengthen the forum and to consolidate the bonds of economic partnership at the regional level.
China greatly appreciates Pakistan's support to the Boao Forum that aimed at persuading sustainable development of Asia's economy.
According to the BFA's Secretary General Long Yongtu, the conference would provide a big opportunity promoting exchange of views and interaction among the participants achieving common objectives in the economic field.
The theme of the conference would be " Asia searching for Win-Win: Asia open to the outside World."
China hopes that the leaders of Asian nations would work together for developing a deeply integrated Asia as well as pushing for openness with the rest of the world.
Sources said China believes that the Forum can help create a 'Win-Win' situation for economic development through closer co-operation, adding it would encourage all countries in the region to maintain peace and stability by cultivating "a new security concept" that features mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality and co-operations.
The organisers hoped that the BFA would serve as a platform for Asian countries to promote regional co-operation and jointly explore solutions to common economic and social problems.
They said a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed here by the Boao Forum with the World Bank sharing their common interest in the search for Win-Win solutions to support overall development of Asia through regional co-operation and integration.
Sources said the MoU sets the stage for carrying out collaboration activities on three fronts in the coming years: (i) special economic studies, (ii) development of research networks, and (iii) dissemination activities.
The official told newsman in Beijing that the conference would be attended by about 1,000 prominent delegates from all over the world, mostly from the Asian countries.
