The delegates from various Islamic countries have reached Pakistan to participate in the third Meeting of the OIC Task Force on SMEs to be held under the aegis of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (Smeda) on March 16.
According to a press release issued here by Smeda, the delegates from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Mozambique, Cote d'Ivoire, Thailand, Bahrain, Lebanon, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Sudan, Yemen and Bangladesh arrived here early on Monday morning, while rest of the delegates would reach Lahore till late Monday night.
Federal Industries and Production Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi will inaugurate the three-day meeting, which comprises four working sessions besides, an inaugural and a concluding session. Punjab Governor Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) will be the chief guest at the concluding session on March 18.
The inaugural session will start with the address of welcome by Smeda Chief Executive Officer Shahab Khawaja.
Dr Ali A. Soliman, CEO and Director General Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector, Islamic Development Bank Group, Saudi Arabia, A.H.M. Moniruzzaman, Ambassador of the OIC, Javed Ashraf Hussain, Secretary Ministry of Industries and Production and Aqueel A. Jassem, Secretary General, Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry would also address the opening session.
Javed Ashraf Hussain, Aqueel A. Al-Jassem, A.H.M Moniruzzaman and Shahab Khawaja would chair the four working sessions.
The delegates from Saudi Arabia, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, Thailand, Bahrain, Dhaka, Kuwait, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mozambique, and Pakistan would make presentations in the working sessions.
During their three-day stay in the town, the delegates of the OIC Task Force will also visit an SME exhibition to be organised by GCCI at Gujranwala on March 17.
