The seventh convocation of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) will be held on April 7. The Sindh governor, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan, would be the chief guest on the occasion.
At the convocation, 660 degrees would be awarded, including 382 in computer engineering, 199 in electronic engineering, 46 in bio- medical engineering, 33 in civil engineering and 53 in computer science.
Five Masters' students would be awarded degrees in computer software network, while 16 students would receive gold medals in recognition of their outstanding performances.
Prior to the convocation, a special meeting of the University's board of governors would be held on March 22.
The Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Dr Atta-ur-Rehman is also expected to attend the meeting.
Besides the students, receiving the degrees, and their parents, the university has invited the ministers, notables, teachers and educationists.
