Pitch defies prediction

The pitch at Arbab Niaz Stadium during the third one-dayer between Pakistan and India on Friday favoured seam bowlers, contrary to pre-match predictions of proving a batsman's paradise.
Groundsmen reportedly toiled for three days to make it a batting-friendly track but, somehow, they failed to entirely remove grass from the pitch.
There is a generally accepted rule that pitches in one-day games should favour batsmen and Groundsmen seemed to be well aware of this idea.
