The line-up of vessels to load sugar in Brazil's ports increased to 37 from 32 a week ago, shipping agent Williams said Thursday.
In a weekly report, Williams said five vessels were lined up in the port of Maceio and one in Recife, compared with three and two last week, respectively. In the southern port of Santos, there were 25 vessels, up from 23 last week.
Santos accounted for 76 percent of sugar tonnage being loaded in Brazilian ports, while Maceio accounted for 10 percent, Recife 8 percent, Paranagua 5 percent and Imbituba 1 percent.
