The Bangladeshi taka ended slightly easier on Monday on demand for US dollars to cover import charges for edible oil and other food items, dealers said.
The taka was quoted at 58.97/59.0 per dollar against 58.96/59.0 per dollar on Sunday, a work day in Muslim Bangladesh.
Call money rates eased and ranged between 3.75 percent and 5.5 percent against 4.0-7.0 percent on Sunday.
