Punjab Government has implemented upon the promise by giving 50 percent Abiana relief to farmers, who are at the tail of canals in Punjab.
Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi stated this in a meeting with provincial legislators of Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh and Jhang here on Friday.
Averring on other development measures undertaken in the province, Pervaiz stated that as compared to 13,000 this year, a total of 15,000 teachers would be employed in the province in coming year.
Asking members of Punjab Assembly to take interest in assembly proceedings, he stressed upon civil servants to adhere to proposals of parliamentarians for development of the province, he added.
Punjab chief minister talking of achieving transparency in distribution of Zakat stated that fundamental changes were being made to improve police efficiency in the province, he added.
Talking about successful buying of wheat in the province the previous year, chief minister Punjab stated that with provision of cheap flour to poor, the provincial government provided due relief to masses.
'While understanding problems of Sindh, Northern areas and Azad Kashmir, wheat was also supplied to these areas', he added.
Chief Minister said besides already taking many educational steps, measures was on the way to open new schools in the province, he concluded.
