Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Mohammad Afzal Sahi on Sunday said the Punjab government is committed to provide quality education and better health cover to the people across the province.
Talking to a delegation of farmers from Faisalabad at assembly chamber here which called on him, he said that on the special directive of Chief Minister Punjab "Model School" equipped with modern laboratories and computer network will be established soon one each in all tehsils across the province for imparting science and IT education to students dwelling in remote rural areas.
He said computer literate teachers will be appointed in these schools which will be linked with internet facility.
He said Punjab government has attached great importance to the promotion of quality education especially IT education.
Sahi said more Basic Health Units will be upgraded in all rural areas of district Faisalabad for providing round the clock medical treatment to poor people.
He said Punjab Health Minister has already issued directive in this regard to concerned quarters for implementation of the proposed plan.
