Pakistan Oil & Gas Conference 2004 will be inaugurated by Federal Minister for Petroleum & Natural Resources Chaudhry Nouraiz Shakoor on May 3, 2004 in Islamabad.
This conference is being organised by the Petroleum Institute of Pakistan from May 3-5. The conference is supported by the Economist Conferences and The Mediators Conferences.
Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has been invited to address the concluding session on May 5, 2004.
The three-day all-important conference will dwell upon the issues related to: Importance of Conducive Economic Environment for Business Growth, Oil & Gas Exploration Policy of the New Government, Preparing Business for Using Gas, Coal & Fuel Oil Mix for Energy, Are Regional Gas Pipelines Possible?
Managing Business Risks in Pakistan, Natural Gas Demand and Investment Opportunities, Petroleum Products Infrastructure: Opportunities & Challenges, Doing Oil Refining & Marketing Business in a Deregulated Environment, Privatisation of the Oil & Gas Sector, Prospects of Pakistan & Gulf Countries Co-operation in the Energy Sector.

The last Pakistan Oil & Gas Conference was held in 2000, which was addressed by President General Pervez Musharraf. It was a largely attended conference by both local and foreign participants.
