Nine persons were killed and 38 injured on Tuesday morning when a Rawalpindi bound bus from Kohala fell in a ravine near Dheri Kiala, while giving way to another bus on the narrow road.
Nine passengers died on the spot, while the 38 injured were shifted to RIC, Lora. Three of the passengers were found in critical conditions, who were immediately shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.
The bus (registration number AJK 8124) met the accident at about 8.00 am.
It may be mentioned that many accidents have taken place in the past owing to poor condition of the road. The concerned authorities should take immediate steps to improve this road for saving precious lives.
