President General Pervez Musharraf visited the National Defence College (NDC) on Tuesday, where he attended a presentation of the Course Paper delivered by the participants of National Defence Course.
Later, addressing the participants of the National Defence and Armed Forces War courses, the President gave an overview of the international and regional environment and their impact on our society.
He also spoke of those issues, which were hindering our progress and growth and were impediment in our integration into the global mainstream. He then gave an overview of the national economy and internal security situation.
The President highly appreciated the quality and scope of the Course Paper and lauded the contribution being made by the participants and faculty of the NDC to the country. Federal ministers, chairman joint chiefs of staff committee and services chiefs were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, on arrival at the NDC, the President was received by the Commandant, Lieutenant General Tariq Waseem Ghazi and members of the faculty.
