At least nine persons were killed and sixteen other injured in a clash between two rival groups of Shar tribe over some old dispute of land, in village Rakhial-Ji-Wandh of Garhi Yasin Taluka, District Shikarpur on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Mst. Sugra, Husna, Waziran of Nazeer group while Abdul Khaliq, Badruddin, Ms Gulpari, Gul Khatoon, Humra and Waziran of Abdullah group. However, names of the injured could not be ascertained. The bodies and injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, Shikarpur.
After the incident, police have sealed the area and set-up pickets around the village.
Police sources, said that they were collecting more details about the casualties, and it will take some time for lodging an FIR.
