Egypt's main official wheat buyer said on Monday he was seeking offers to buy US, French, Australian and/or Syrian wheat for the shipment period July 21-31, 2004.
Mahmoud Abdel-Hamid, vice chairman of the General Authority for Supply Commodities said that the GASC seeks offers for 50,000 tonnes to 60,000 tonnes of US soft red winter. North Pacific soft white wheat or the US hard red winter wheat. French milling wheat; Australian standard white wheat and/or hard wheat; and/or Syrian soft wheat. Cargo size is at GASC's option.
