National Assembly committee on housing and works meets

The Standing Committee on Housing and Works of the National Assembly was held here on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chaudhry Ghias Ahmad Mela.
The members of the Standing Committee and senior officers of the Ministry of Housing and Works also attended the meeting.
The Committee directed to ensure the implementation and remove loopholes in the rules of the housing ministry and amended to the benefit of the public.
The Committee unanimously passed a resolution in which they appreciated the steps taken by the government for detaching the hiring policy of the houses from Estate Offices by entrusting to the respective departments.
The Committee directed to summon the IG Police, Islamabad, for the vacation by the unauthorised occupants belongings to police department.
The Committee constituted a sub-committee under the convenor-ship of Mohammad Farooq Azam Malik which would streamlines the affairs of the ministry and the CDA.
