The Bangladesh taka closed slightly higher on Thursday due to sluggish import demand for dollars ahead of local Friday weekend, dealers said.
The taka was quoted at 59.24/59.28 to the US dollar, against 59.25/59.40 on Wednesday.
Call money rates ranged between 2.0 percent and 5.5 percent against 2.5 to 5.5 percent on Wednesday.
