Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday allowed bail to Rehman Akhtar, a former employee of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) who was charged with for withdrawing money on fake cheque.
The court, while allowing bail to the accused, observed that an accused could not be kept in jail for a long span, when trial against him was not concluded.
The applicant had tried to withdraw Rs 50 million from the main branch of NBP but he failed in his objective.
Rehman Akhtar was in jail from over last two years, but his co-accused are already on bail.
