The old terminal building of the Lahore airport is to be converted into a world class sports complex.
The federal ministry of minorities, culture, sports, tourism and youth affairs has invited applications for the appointment of a consultant for the project which have to reach the office of the ministry in Green Tower Building, Jinnah Avenue, Islamabad by July 15.
The various engineering and consultancy organisations as also individual architectural consultants are, however, of the view that the ministry of culture has shown undue haste in inviting offers from consultants by July 15, 2004.
There is also speculation that someone has already been selected as consultant by the ministry of culture.
