Judge anti-terrorism, Muhammad Yousaf Ojla, announcing the judgement of a well-known case of terrorism of Police Station Sadar Kamalia, has awarded a total punishment of 24 year's rigorous imprisonment each and a fine of Rs 50,000 each to three accused, Manzoor Hussain, Hasnain Shah and Imran alias Banshay Shah.
In case of non-payment of the fine they would have to undergo an additional imprisonment of one year each.
According to details, on the midnight of November 20 and 21, 2003, Saddar Kamlia Police on receipt of an information that proclaimed offenders were biding in a house in Chak No.724GB raided the said house.
Upon hearing about the raid, the accused opened fire and a police constable Aamir was injured.
During the police encounter three accused Ali Raza Shah, Hussain Raza Shah and Mulazim Hussain were killed while the accused Manzoor Hussain, Hasnain Shah and Imran Shah were arrested from the scene of occurrence.
A case No.353/03 was registered against the accused and was sent to the court for trial. The learned court awarded seven years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000 each to the three culprits under Section 324/149, three years' imprisonment to each under Section 148/149 five years' imprisonment and fine of Rs 20,000 each under Section 337/4 seven years' imprisonment and fine of Rs 20,000 each under Section 7A7-A and two years' imprisonment each under Section 353.
Thus the total punishment comes to 24 years' imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 to each culprit.
