Punjab Livestock Department was preserving the outstanding records of livestock breeders attained during the National Horse and Cattle Show 2004 in a book titled 'Prized breeds of Pakistan'.
Muhammad Athar Tahir, Punjab Livestock Secretary, informed this while addressing a meeting here on Tuesday, disclosed an official.
He said that the book, designed by the eminent designer Iyaz Ali Syed, would help academically to the graduate students of livestock management, while it would also encourage the livestock and poultry breeders to compete vigorously in the forthcoming National Horse and Cattle Show 2005.
The book would contain details of livestock, poultry, horse and camel breeds along with photographs of prized animals, detailed list of prize-winner, acknowledgement and selected bibliography, he maintained.
