Sindh Information Technology Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal Pasha has said that with the help of the private sector 80 free information technology and computer science training awareness centres would be set up in the province during this year.
The minister stated this while speaking at the opening of the first free Information Technology Awareness Centre at North Karachi on Tuesday.
He said with the help of the private sector about 80 centres of information technology, information and awareness centres equipped with Internet facility would be set up at different small towns in the province, including Karachi.
He said that the purpose of these free centers is to cater to the needs of those who cannot afford to pay exorbitant charges to take advantage of the IT technology.
He said that these centers would impart training to children free of cost. Mustafa Kamal Pasha said there is no dearth of talent in the province, but facilities are limited.
