All Parties National Alliance (Apna) has stressed the need of an Intra-Kashmir dialogue to frustrate the efforts being made for the division of Jammu Kashmir state.
It called upon the patriotic forces of occupied Kashmir to show sagacity at this crucial juncture and save Kashmir from further death and destruction.
"Some forces have became active to hatch conspiracies to divided Kashmir and create division among Kashmiri people. But these evil designs would be frustrated and resisted by Kashmiri nation", said Wajahat Hussain, Chairman Apna here on Thursday, while addressing a press conference at a local hotel. APNA chairman was flanked by other leaders including Arif Shahid, Secretary General, Sardar Ishtiaq Hussain, Secretary Information, Professor Khalique, Dr Abbas and Nawaz Khan Naji.
The effort made by International Kashmir Alliance for holding intra-Kashmir Dialogue was based on sincerity. But the vested interest forces have dubbed it as a RAW sponsored event, Wajahat said and added that this an ample proof of the sick mentality of the people who don't want to compromise their personal interest linked with Kashmir.
He criticised the role of leadership of Azad Kashmir and said "These so called champions of freedom of occupied Kashmir don't want Kashmir issue to be resolved as it is linked with their livelihood." Wajahat demanded immediate withdrawal of the troops from both sides of the divided Kashmir and said that forces on both sides of the cease-fire line are in
violation of the UN Resolutions on Kashmir.
"Kashmiris are human being and they should be given right to move freely in their homeland. The barrier of the cease-fire line is depriving Kashmiris from their basic human right", he added.
Demanding immediate solution of occupied Kashmir, the chairman of conglomerate of Kashmiri nationalists said that it is in the best interest of both India and Pakistan to let Kashmiris to decide their fate by their own. "More than half of the total population of the two countries is living below poverty line and they were deprived of the opportunities of development and prosperity", he said adding that solution of Kashmir would benefit entire South Asia as peace will bring prosperity.
He demanded the re-unification of the state and said that state of Jammu Kashmir should be united as it was before August 47, and Kashmiris be allowed to be an independent nation. Deploring the construction of the Diamer (Bhasha) Dam in Diamer, he said that Pakistan should settle first the matters with people of Gilgit Baltistan regarding the royalty, compensations etc and take people of the area into confidence.
"A written agreement should be made in this regard as people have reservations that NWFP would deprive them from the royalty as was done in Tarbela issue", he added.
He said that Pakistan should give the royalty of Mangla Dam to AJK people and Tarbela to Gilgit Baltistan and then think over construction of other dams.
Apna condemned the conspiracies of divide and rule by Pakistani establishment and stated that sectarian hatred being created among people should be stopped.
