The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has a great role to play for enhancing the volume of exports and encourage the business community to face the coming challenges of World Trade Organisation (WTO) and South Asian Free Trade Agreement (Safta) regimes.
This was stated by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) president Hussain Ahmed Ozgen here on Monday while talking to a group of journalists in his office.
He was of the view that keeping in view the newly announced trade policy, the EPB should gear up its efforts to obtain the exports target. He termed the new trade policy as business-friendly.
Because of consistence policies by the government for the last few years, the confidence of businessmen has restored, he said.
He urged upon the EPB to train exporters and manufacturers and further help them to focus on productivity and quality.
