Foreign office condemns killing of Pakistani hostages: citizens advised not to visit Iraq
Foreign Office Spokesman Masood Khan while strongly condemning the killing of two innocent Pakistanis by their Iraqi captors has once again advised Pakistani citizens to avoid visiting that country in the prevalent circumstances.
"We strongly condemn the murder of innocent Pakistanis", the Spokesman told PTV.
He said that by killing these two innocent persons the kidnappers have committed crime against humanity, Islam, Pakistani nation, as well as the Iraqi nation itself.
It is a crucial moment not only for the family members of Raja Azad and Saud Naeem but also for the entire Pakistani nation, he said.
"It is a common tragedy for all of us." He said the nation and government equally share the grief and suffering of the family members of the innocent victims.
He said Pakistan govt has time and again advised its citizens to avoid visiting Iraq until the situation improves in that country adding even the 'Zaireen' (pilgrims) have been asked not to visit Iraq in the prevailing conditions. "We will repeat our advisory that Pakistani nationals should not go to Iraq until the conditions get normal and stable", Masood Khan maintained.
