Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has fixed August 9 as last date for receiving applications for allotment of industrial plots in Al-Watan Industrial Zone, specified for overseas Pakistanis.
Media Adviser to PQA Ms Rizwan Khan told APP that PQA has received an overwhelming response for these industrial plots for small units. More than 1,000 applications have been received till date against 1,200 plots of 1210 square yards each.
She said that balloting for allotment of plots would be held after the applications deadline.
PQA is receiving between 100 to 140 applications per day for this scheme, she said. The applications will be accepted only till the announced deadline.
This scheme is located near National Highway and is part of PQA's eastern industrial zone where mega projects like 'Textile City' and 'Garment City' have already been initiated.
