Anti-terrorism Court awarded life imprisonment to seven accused in two different murder cases here on Saturday last.
ATC judge Mohammed Khosa tried and sentenced three accused Nadim, Zahir and Qalandar in a murder case to undergo life imprisonment and also fined each of them to pay Rs 0.1 million to the heirs of the deceased.
The culprits would undergo additional sentence of seven years and pay Rs 50,000 as fine in the same case.
In default of payment of fine, they will have to serve another two years rigorous imprisonment.
According to the prosecution, the accused had killed one person in Washuk in Kharan district and looted Rs 0.13 million cash.
In the second case, the court awarded each of the four accused, including three absconders, to serve life imprisonment with Rs 0.1 million fine. The amount of fine would be paid to the heirs of the victim Ahmed Ali whom they killed in Khuzdar on October 3 last year.
Accused Saifullah was present in the court while the other three accused Allah Dinna, Huzoor Bux and Abdul Khaliq had been declared proclaimed offenders and the court had already awarded five years rigorous imprisonment to each of them for not appearing in the court.
