Large quantity of spurious zinc fertiliser and outdated pesticides were seized in Jacobabad during raids conducted by the special team constituted by the Director-General, Agriculture Extension.
The team raided a pesticides dealer supplying zinc fertiliser and pesticides throughout the district and recovered 1700 bags of zinc fertiliser and huge quantity of outdated pesticides.
The team seized the entire stock and an FIR has been lodged. Plant Protection Department sources said that on a tip-off the Director General Agriculture Extension sent a team to conducted raids.
The director himself left for Jacobabad on Sunday evening and later will hold a press conference to provide the details of the raids.
